Our NVC (Noise Volume Control) Earplugs are designed with a flat profile so they won't create pressure points against your ears while wearing a helmet. Here is your alternative to regular foam earplugs that are like putting your fingers in your ears, making everything sound dull and distorted.
Avoid hearing damage. Wind noise inside a motorcycle helmet at highway speeds is a lot louder than you might think—usually between 95 and 105 decibels. To put that in perspective, to preserve your hearing you should limit noise exposure to 100 dB to just 15 minutes a day to be safe.
The faster you go, the louder it gets, possibly reaching 110 dB causing hearing damage in just a few minutes. While a helmet is crucial for safety, it only reduces noise by about 7-10 dB, which isn't nearly enough to protect your hearing. NVC Earplugs bring the noise down to a safe level, between 100dB or lower.
NVC Earplugs are made of non-porous medical-grade silicone, which is non-allergenic and won't cause irritation—a crucial feature since the earplugs sit in your sensitive ear canal for long periods.
This ensures proper hygiene and prevents the buildup of bacteria or dirt that can lead to ear infections, and to extend the lifespan of your earplugs, follow an easy clean routine with mild soap and warm water.
